About Double Barrel Aged King Size:

We barrel aged this special batch of our award winning Imperial Peanut Stout in two consecutive sets of freshly dumped Willett bourbon barrels. After aging in the first set of barrels for 9 months, we transferred the beer to a new set of freshly dumped barrels for 6 months so that it would pick up even more of that delicious Willett barrel flavor.

The end result is a beautifully balanced stout that is full bodied. The aroma begins with notes of peanut butter and baker’s chocolate. The palate lends flavors of robust, roasted peanuts up front, then transitions into dark, fudge brownie. The finish is bold and long lasting, with more peanut, smooth bourbon, and toasty oak.
